ERP System in Bahrain Is a Call of Advanced Technology

Bahrain even after being a small Arab monarchy, has been seeing a drastic change in its economy since 2006. It started investing in sectors like banking and tourism only in late 20th century and now if we look the statistics by London's Global Financial Centers Index of 2008, then we can notice that they have named Bahrain as the world's fastest growing financial center. This large level of development in the economy also asks for advanced technology. So the need of efficient ERP software in Bahrain has increased to a new level. ERP software helps in the smooth working of the enterprises or organizations by handling their data electronically in a proper format.

This advancement in technology never ceases to amaze me. Initially using ERP software was a big deal in itself but now a new thing has come up in the market which has crossed the last stone of amazement. The new thing is ERP mobility. A very well-known businessman, “John Kearns vice president of finance at IntegraMed America Inc., a specialty healthcare services company based in Purchase, N.Y., says, ERP mobility lets him take advantage of "front-porch" accounting and finance.” This ERP mobility is still not widespread but the chances of mobility in ERP system in Bahrain looks high.

The main idea of introducing ERP software was to ease the operations of enterprises. Similarly, the main idea to introduce the mobility in ERP system is to make it accessible at any place with an internet connection. Many companies are offering these services to their clients where they can operate their software from any place in the world if that place has an internet connection. This technology is present in the market but yet is not used by many due to varied reasons, but I am pretty sure that in coming years this mobility in ERP system will be used by all.

How to choose the best ERP solution for your business?

Company’s objectives and goals

The first and foremost reason for choosing ERP software in Bahrain are based on your company’s objectives and goals. Though every company has different objectives for instance:

Efficiency goals: Multiple tasks can be folded together by processing redundancy so that each element needs to occur just once.

Growth goals:  to double your business with resources available.

Speed to market goals:  Bring the products to market them faster, satisfying all regulatory requirements, and thereby gain market share faster.

Functional software requirements

Accounting and marketing, these general operations are shared by all companies. But In terms of function, your specific industry will command the details. The needs of your company will manage the features that are most important to you. For that, you need to be careful of all the functions that occur on an average business day. They must aim to review all the areas on the list even if your current processes are currently being done outside of the system on whiteboards or spreadsheets.

Budget and resources

There is a huge variation in the rates of ERP software in Bahrain. The highest priced ERP system may be five times the cost of the least expensive solution. But there is a reason behind this. Some companies may have less complex criteria and can choose a more moderately priced ERP solution but others may need the advanced functionality built into a higher priced system. Don’t think necessarily that more expensive is better. A higher priced system might be designed for companies with single task individuals. These systems are broken into functions into small pieces. Those individuals who multi-task in a smaller company might find they are doing lots of extra steps and are actually decreasing efficiency with the more expensive system.
